Noveliq STUDIO

PRIVACY

Your writing is personal.

This page explains the broad principles governing information stored by Noveliq Studio.

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Information associated with your account

When you register, the service stores the information required to authenticate your account and provide access to your projects.

Your creative content

Your manuscripts, projects, notes, characters, locations, timelines and research records are stored so that the service can provide its writing and planning features.

How information is used

Information is used to operate, secure and improve the service. Your creative content should not be published or shared with another user unless a sharing feature explicitly says that it will do so.

Contact and support enquiries

When you use the contact form, the service processes your name, email address, message and any project context you choose to include so the team can answer the enquiry, investigate a problem and retain an appropriate support record. Do not include passwords, authentication codes or payment-card details. You can contact the team here.

Payments and subscriptions

Stripe processes Studio checkout, recurring payments, invoices and subscription management. NovelIQ stores Stripe reference numbers and subscription status so it can provide the correct plan; it does not store complete payment-card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms.

Data protection complaints

To raise a complaint about how your personal information has been handled, use the contact form and choose Data protection complaint. The complaint will be acknowledged within 30 days and answered without undue delay after the necessary investigation.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect accounts and stored content. In the hosted Azure service, database content and backups are encrypted at rest with Azure SQL Transparent Data Encryption, uploaded media is encrypted at rest by Azure Storage, and HTTPS/TLS protects data while it is moving. This is service-side rather than end-to-end encryption because authorised application features must process project content. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

Information may be retained while your account remains active and for any additional period required for backups, security, legal obligations or service recovery. Account and project deletion options should explain what will be removed before deletion is confirmed.

Cookies and sessions

Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms, preserve necessary session information and remember your cookie choice. They are required for the application to work correctly. Optional analytics cookies are not enabled unless you accept them. Review your cookie settings.

Important

This is a practical starter privacy page, not legal advice. Before public launch, replace or extend it with details of your company, contact address, analytics, hosting providers, retention periods and the data rights applicable to your users.
