Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide a valid email address and confirm it before using the studio.

Your writing and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the manuscripts, notes, images and other material you add. You grant Noveliq only the limited permission needed to store, process, display, export and back up that material while providing the service.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully, attempt to access another writer’s material, upload malicious content, interfere with the service, or use automated systems to create accounts or place an unreasonable load on it.

Availability and backups

We aim to keep the studio reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Authors should export important manuscripts periodically and retain their own backup copy.

Free and Studio plans

NovelIQ Free provides the core writing service described on the pricing page. NovelIQ Studio is an optional paid subscription that unlocks the additional features listed there. We may improve or change plan features over time, but will explain material changes before they affect an existing subscription.

Studio trial

An eligible account may use one 14-day Studio trial without entering payment details. The trial includes Studio features for one active book; creating and managing multiple books requires a paid Studio subscription. The trial begins when the account holder actively starts it or first opens a trial-eligible Studio feature. It does not automatically become a paid subscription. When it ends, Studio-only features close and the account returns to Free unless the account holder chooses to subscribe.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Studio is available as a monthly or annual recurring subscription at the price shown before checkout. Stripe securely processes payments. A subscription renews automatically at the applicable interval until it is cancelled. It can be managed or cancelled through the billing portal; unless the portal states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not delete the account or manuscript. Any applicable tax and the date of the next charge are shown during checkout.

Payment problems

If a renewal payment fails, we may provide a short grace period while Stripe retries the payment or the account holder updates the payment method. Studio-only features may close after that period, but writing remains available under the Free plan.

Account closure

You may delete your account from your profile. This permanently removes your account and associated books in accordance with the deletion process shown before confirmation.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated through the website or account where appropriate.
